Product Description
Do away with your cable modem and upgrade to the C6250 Dual-Band Wireless-AC1600 Nighthawk Cable Modem / Router from NETGEAR. This modem/router supports the DOCSIS 3.0 cable Internet standard complete with 16 downstream and 4 upstream channels supporting download speeds of up to 680 Mb/s. On the back of the C6250 you will find a single coaxial connector for the incoming cable Internet connection, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and a single USB 2.0 port.
In addition to wired connectivity, the NETGEAR C6250 Nighthawk supports the 802.11ac Wi-Fi protocol and operates on the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies. Dual-band support allows users to connect to the less congested, faster 5 GHz frequency for tasks such as downloading large files, streaming multimedia content, and more. Once configured, the high-powered radio amplifiers provide a stronger signal to more devices and with more Wi-Fi transmitters and receivers the C6250 provides more lanes for network traffic to flow through.
