With the C6220 AC1200 Wi-Fi Cable Modem & Router from Netgear you no longer need to purchase a router separate of your cable modem. With this combination modem/router you can plug your incoming data connection directly into the device as it comes equipped with a single coaxial connector. The router portion of the C6220 Cable Modem & Router offers dual-band connectivity with support for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. This router also supports the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard with data transfer rates of up to 1200 Mbps. If a wired connection is needed, users can connect Ethernet enabled devices to either of the two auto-sensing Gigabit Ethernet ports. The C6220 even comes equipped with a USB 2.0 port designed to support USB-enabled hard drives. Once connected, the hard drive can accessed from users throughout the network.
