Product Description

The Cassini C-3 telescope is mounted on a heavy duty German Equatorial mount. The mount features solid metal construction, setting circles and locking knobs in declination and right ascension, counter balance shaft and weights, latitude adjuster, and slow motion controls with detachable flex cables in both axis. A motor drive can also be attached for added tracking capability (motor drive sold separately). The Mount is attached to a very sturdy, fully adjustable, pre-assembled metal tripod with retractable rubber feet. The tripod also features an accessory tray with slots to place 4 1&#; eyepieces or lenses. The telescope attaches to the mount by an adjustable tube clamp which in combination with the adjustable counter balance weights ensures easy fluid movement of the telescope at all times. The telescope tube assembly is finished out with a large 2&#; format focus tube. A 2&#; to 1&#; adapter is included as well. The C-3 optical tube assembly features a 0mm focal length. The large primary mirror is 5mm in diameter and in mounted in a heavy duty mirror cell with push / pull collimation screws. The finder is Cassini's Mars-Eye Electronic Finder which helps by getting the observer behind the telescope without losing the surrounding field of view when targeting objects. Included with the C-3 are a 1" mm Plssl eyepiece, a 1" mm Astroscopic Eyepiece, and a 2 element Astroscopic Barlow. Lastly, the Cassini Stellarium M brings skies over your home or anywhere in the world.
