Product Description
The Night Optics USA D-300M-3AG night vision monocular is the choice of night vision professionals and private users who demand exquisite performance, friendly controls and easy system customization for different modes of employment. Standard features such as high-quality optics, an integral IR illuminator, and internal low battery and infrared indicators are packaged in a compact, rugged, weather resistant housing.
You'll find this NVD is part of one of the most versatile night vision systems, and can be configured with a variety of image intensifiers. This version comes with an ITT manufactured third generation Pinnacle intensifier that delivers maximum performance levels under the darkest of conditions.
Further enhancements include an extensive array of optional accessories to meet any mission specific requirement. Hands-free viewing is possible with a head or helmet mount, or you can use your D-300M-3AG as a night vision riflescope with the appropriate mount and compatible sight. Additionally, camera/camcorder adapters are available and magnification lenses can be used to increase the viewing power of your new D-300M-3AG.
There are many different variables that affect the distance that one can see with a night vision device, among them the object's size, the level of details being sought from the object and the conditions of observation. Night vision devices detect much further under a full moon and clear skies than they will under a new moon and cloudy skies. Many different formulas are used to determine the statistic of maximum viewing range and the method of calculation varies by manufacturer. The important factors to consider when evaluating any night vision device are the intensifier tube's generation, s/n ratio, level of magnification, specified resolution, along with the clarity & light transmission efficiency of the optical system.
All night vision devices sold by B&H have mechanisms in place to protect the intensifier tube from a sudden burst of bright light, but this does not mean that bright light doesn't damage the device. No matter what, bright light in any form is not good for the longevity and performance of image intensifier tubes.
